Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Relationship with Student
Posted in Child Abuse,Firm News on March 21, 2019
Katherine O’Neill, a 51-year-old teacher at Barstow High School, has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. On March 15, O’Neill was arrested by San Bernardo County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to a report regarding an inappropriate student-teacher relationship. She has been on administrative leave since October 2018. Her arrest follows the accusation she engaged in inappropriate behavior with a student by exchanging explicit text messages. Unfortunately, stories like this continue to come to light as social media and technology are used by predators as a means of communicating with students outside of school.
